A Trusted Space

A Trusted Space ®, is a series of films and resources presented by All It Takes examining the urgent need for trusted, healthy spaces to combat the mental health crisis in schools. Packed with experts, educators and student voices, both the original film A Trusted Space®: Redirecting Grief to Growth and the newly launched A Trusted Space®: Meeting the Moment short film series offers practical tools, illuminating concepts, and a way to navigate forward in these uncertain times. Join us in building trusted spaces where healing happens, resiliency grows, and learning occurs naturally.

Angst: Building Resilience is the first installation in the Creative Coping Toolkit (CCT) a film and evidence-based program designed to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage them to reach out for help. It weaves personal stories with expert perspectives. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, mental health professionals, parents and a very special interview with Michael Phelps.

Stories of Hope: SHORTS

Stories of Hope: SHORTS is an inspirational short story and conversation series featuring real youth sharing real stories of how finding their pathway to hope was possible despite the emotional challenges they faced. The stories include interviews with youth and professionals all demonstrating hope is possible. Each story concludes with a youth guided discussion to help the audience engage their own story of hope.

To get the word out to all Californians, All It Takes has launched a new public service announcement (PSA) campaign with three primary goals:

  1. Inform the general public that California schools are dedicated to supporting student well-being.

  2. To recognize and appreciate the influence and impact of custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, and others have on our students in the education ecosystem. We are all in this together.

  3. A call to action/reminder for those who work in education that they are a vital part of the solution to the mental health epidemic our students are facing in the wake of COVID-19.

This PSA campaign will serve as a reminder for every person in the California education ecosystem to embrace their powerful role in fostering healing and resilience in our youth who are struggling with mental health concerns at increasing rates.
